Very Narrow Aisle Racking
Very Narrow Aisle racking commonly referred to as VNA is an effective method of increasing pallet storage with the advantages of selective racking. This system requires a special fork lift which reduces the aisle space by a minimum of 40% compared to traditional fork lifts. The forklift travels up and down the narrow aisle and retrieves /replenishes pallets from either side using forks on a turret attachment. The pallet is then delivered to a P&D station located at the end of the aisle where it is positioned for retrieval. This system still provides 100 % product selectivity and utilizes the vertical space for pallet storage density.
VNA Racking is commonly used in rack supported structures creating a very high density storage system.
